SHC on TV 2006
Larry E. Arnold, director of ParaScience International in
Harrisburg, PA, will be featured in the debut episode of the new TLC series
X-Testers on Thursday, June 15, 2006, at 7-8PM EDT (rebroadcasts on Friday,
June 16, at 2-3AM).
X-Testers is modeled after the popular Discovery series
Mythbusters, and attempts to explain conventionally many alleged paranormal
events such as UFOs, ghosts, lake monsters and, in Arnolds area of expertise,
spontaneous human combustion.
X-Testers Patrick Denver and Clark James, the co-hosts, told Arnold during filming on
location in Potter County, where in 1966 Dr. John Bentley was consumed in a localized fire
defying logic, that of all the topics they tackled, SHC is the only one we have not
been able to fully explain.
We hope they make that conclusion on-air, says Arnold, author of ABLAZE!
It would be the honest thing to do, based on the experiments they conducted in our
presence in Hollywood. If they do not, it wont be the first time media has edited
their coverage to misrepresent this mysterious phenomenon.

TV NOTE: Larry Arnold on The History Channel April 5, 2006, 11PM-midnight EDT....
was 1st time we've seen anything about SHC on THC. It was repackaging of the A&E
show that was done for "The Unexplained" series in 1995.
